Trading Innovation
Welcome to IPXI

The Intellectual Property Exchange International, Inc. (IPXI), conceived and founded by Ocean Tomo, the world's leading IP-merchant bank, is the world's first financial exchange with an intellectual property (IP) focus.

IP is emerging as the pre-eminent asset class of the 21st century, with a market value estimated at over $5 trillion in the United States alone. Incredibly, the vast marketplace for IP has developed in the absence of a central marketplace for IP cash and derivatives transactions.

IPXI intends to fill this void. Our mission is to meet the price discovery, transaction, and data distribution needs of IP-owners, investors, traders, and other market participants by creating the central marketplace for IP-assets and IP-trading products.

The IPXI marketplace will allow owners of IP to more efficiently monetize their IP assets. Additionally, for the first time, IP owners will have access to powerful risk management tools to hedge their exposures. On the buy-side, investors will be able to access a new universe of trading, investment, and arbitrage opportunities.

"U.S. intellectual property is worth between $5 and $5.5 trillion … greater than the gross domestic product of any other nation in the world."
